Zinzala
The commercial license for the Zinzala SDK must be purchased from hexaZen when it is used to develop commercial software. The license scheme is based on the number of developers using the SDK within the same company per-seat and does not require the payment of a runtime or distribution royalty fee. In other words, it's an one time runtime buyout.
When a license is purchased, it must be accompanied by the purchase of a whole year of support. When the support plan expires at the end of the first year, the buyer is free to renew or not renew the support plan. If the support plan is not renewed, the buyer will still keep its license(s).
The license is a multi-platform license. hexaZen distributes the Zinzala SDK for x86; but can also provide distributions for other platforms opon customer requests. If the customer has a support plan and is able to provide hexaZen with the resources (hardware) to test Zinzala on their requested platform, there will be no extra charge. If the customer cannot provide the required resources, hexaZen may have to charge the customer in order to provide the required distribution.
Both of Zinzala's 2 kits: Cincinella and Farfalla, are covered by the Zinzala SDK license agreement. hexaZen may produce other kits that provide supplementary functions in the future. These future kits will be covered under a separate license agreement and may be purchased on top of the Zinzala SDK license. In addition, custom engineering, consulting and/or on-site training is possible and may be requested anytime at an additional fee.
By purchasing a Zinzala SDK license, every developer under the license will have access to a CD-ROM, containing the latest version of the SDK, the Developer's Guide, tutorials and demos. Contents of the CD-ROM may be available for download from the Internet on request.
All prices are given in Canadian Dollars and by developer seat. hexaZen reserves the right to adjust license and/or support prices at anytime and to provide special discount on the license price to some of its customers. Extra developer seats may be purchased anytime after the initial license is purchased.

After the first year, a discount of 10% will be granted for every continuous year a support plan is purchased, up to 30% off.
The company XYZ, providing QNX solutions for its industrial customers is composed of 3 developers. They acquire a license of the Zinzala SDK with the scheme Artisan and an initial Consultant support plan.
The initial cost of the SDK for the first year, including the support plan is:
$1470 * 3 + $350 * 3 = $5460
The second year, the company purchases the Advisor support plan. They end up just paying:
$280 * 3 - 10% = $756
The third year, the company is working on a major project and requires more complete support. They opt for the Partner plan. Since this is the customer's third year of support, a discount of 20% is given. The cost is then:
$910 * 3 - 20% = $2184
During the year, two developers are added to the team. Zinzala licenses are purchased for them and the Partner plan is extended to include them for the remaining year (e.g. 7 months). Because there were good relations between the company and hexaZen, an extra discount of 40% is given:
$1470 * 2 + (($910 / 12 * 7) * 2 - 20%) = $3788 - 40% = $2272.2
